Definition of Verification
"Verification means the review of information according to WeSantal's internal review process. This is not certification by any government or statutory authority."
1. Verification Workflow Stages
Every submitted record progresses through a multi-step review:
- Received: Submission is queued in the administrative system.
- Under Review: Editorial team reviews cultural context and cross-references existing records.
- Needs Information: Follow-up is requested if key cultural dates or descriptions are missing.
- Verified: Record is confirmed against community oral traditions or documentation archives.
- Published: Record is indexed into the public WeSantal festival directory.
2. Prohibited Claims
WeSantal Calendar strictly avoids the use of misleading official terms such as "Government Approved", "Officially Certified", or "Government Recognized" on any festival card or publication. All listings are cultural and informational references.
3. Continuous Review & Updates
Community members may suggest revisions or updates to published festivals at any time. When new ethnographic or community documentation becomes available, records are updated accordingly.
